The restaurant and bar is really nicely decorated. We chose from the 2 for 1 cocktails my favourites were the Long Island and the sweet berry martini. You HAVE to order the lemon cheesecake cocktail from the mixology section it’s to die for! Tamara made our cocktails in front of us and kindly gave us a little demo on how to get a cocktail very frothy and let us choose edible flowers for a garnish which was a really nice touch! The food was delicious! We really like the new menu which is tapas style, we got a couple of plates and a flatbread to share and we were absolutely stuffed! We were checked on throughout our stay to make sure we had everything we needed which you just don’t get in lots of restaurants these days. The staff are chatty and very friendly this is a perfect date night spot we are certainly coming back!

We decided to the the Shipmans, and old haunt from decades ago. It has been refurbished and now serves the best Sunday roast I’ve had in years! Everything was home cooked, fresh and fabulous. Little extra touches like beetroot purée on the side, which mixed fabulously with horse radish, made it a real treat. Definitely NOT a roast I could cook at home. Excited to return asap

Stopped in for a roast dinner on the way back from an appointment. I had the slow cooked pork belly with sausage meat stuffing which was amazing. To me , the sign of how good a roast dinner is is how well the roast potatoes are cooked, and these were perfect. As usual the bar and serving staff were great.
